JENT is proud to announce the signing of Joe Lowry and The Second Mile Blues Band.  The first JENT booking for the band to sold out performance at The Egg supporting Robin Trower!  Here is some information on the band:

The rhythmic beat of the drums, powerful thump of the bass and the electrifying and entrancing velocity of the guitar make this a sexy, soulful must see band from the soul and funk masters of yesteryear.

Since 1999, Joe Lowry and the Second Mile Blues Band mesmerize crowds at local venues.  Their sound is rich, soulful and invigorating.  An infectious rhythm flows from their instruments and reaches the hearts of entranced audiences.  After 3 full sets and hours of playing, fans still can’t get enough of the band’s contagious energy!

The astounding sound of Joe Lowry’s guitar playing hypnotizes listeners and his soulfully, deep vocals allure the masses! In Joe’s humble words, he’s a *work in progress,* and aspires to reach all who are inspired by music. Paul Rosamilia’s contributing bass lines are infused with heavy funk and soul in the Second Mile’s live sets. Paul’s conception of the band’s name evolved from several references, but his take is that they like the idea of going the second mile for their fans.  PJ Pagano’s beat drives the band’s tempo.  The kick and snare of his drums rounds out this group’s energetic composition.  A full bodied, mind-blowing harmony emits from this trio’s collaborative talents!

Joe Lowry and the Second Mile Blues Band won the hearts of fans and critics alike after making the finals in the Northeast Blues Society’s Colossal Contenders. “Lowry’s trio generated greater gravity, velocity and magnetism, drawing fans to the front. His hyper-strum solo in *Too Many Dirty Dishes* earned the fest’s first ovation.” – (Daily Gazette)

Local reviews of Joe’s guitar skills have been outstanding! An excerpt of Mike Hochanadel’s Schenectady Gazette article described Joe Lowry as, *playing with more skill and soul than the other contenders and that his band would soon eclipse the other acts at the 2008 Electric City Blues Festival!”

This amazing group keeps in good company as they are invited to share stages with music’s elite performers.  Kenny Neal, Savoy Brown and Robin Trower are a few of their recent alumni that have embraced the band under the musical spot light.  In awe they enjoyed electricity of  the Second Mile Blues Band’s phenomenal talents!

The band’s personal description of their show?

It’s simple. . . It’s straight-ahead. . . Its adrenaline rich, usually exhausting and almost dangerous!
